“Las Vegas moves up to # 3 from # 8 in Harris Poll where people want to live” (Hard to find good news to report about Las Vegas… but this is an excellent leading indicator.  Leading indicator means it is AHEAD of the economy… This is clearly AHEAD. People want to move there.  But unless you have to buy in Las Vegas, there are no Positive indicators to confirm.  Bottoms do not appear to be in any of the real estate market segments.  If you must buy in Las Vegas NOW, go with the most professional PRO you can find… Cities with improved rankings: San Diego, up to #2 from #4 last year.  San Diego is still in recovery mode, but this is a clear indicator that from a national perspective, it is THE warm place to be. Las Vegas, up to #3 from #8; Los Angeles, up from #15 to #6; Nashville and Atlanta, up from a tied for #7 from #12 and #13 last year.  Cities that slipped downward include: San Francisco, down to #5 from a tie for #2 last year; Denver, down to #9 from a tie for #2; Boston down to #10 from #7; and, Chicago down to #12 from #6 last year.  Miami, Honolulu, Raleigh-Durham and Portland, which rank numbers 13, 14 and tied for number 15, have all moved up from last year into the top 15.
